We apply a broad range of tools, of which three form the basis of our services.
The Model of Freedom (MoF) is at the core of our services. The MoF explains and visualises why people from different cultures and backgrounds act, perceive, and interpret as they do. It is highly pragmatic and especially valuable in visualising the advantages of different preferences. It provides a language for people to speak about their differences without creating conflicts. We use the model to generate self awareness and appreciation for the advantages of diversity.
Through Appreciative Inquiry (AI), an interview technique aimed at uncovering values by inquiring about strengths and successes, we focus on what works well for an individual, team or organisation. Thus we can guide our customers to learn from the positive aspects of different mindsets or world views. The appreciative approach uses the beneficial elements of diversity and provides a framework for accumulating strengths.
Managing Paradoxes (MP) is a method that helps to effectively use the strengths, stemming from a diversity of cultures and backgrounds. Diversity can potentially contribute to finding innovative solutions as various mental maps are present. To effectively use the various benefits of these different perspectives, accumulated strengths need to be transformed into new sets of solutions. There is no ‘best solution’; strengths that may seem mutually exclusive need to be approached as complementary. A dynamic balance between the different advantages can be achieved by managing the paradoxes found in the tensions between individuals, teams and organisations.
